I have seen it done on roundnose doors.
I have a secondhand kit here (was working well, when removed)
Give me a call and I can explain how it was fitted up.

Any chance you can post a photo of the parts?
I have no room in my doors for it but wouldn't mind a look none the less.

But you have a rover. The doors are slightly wider inside compared to Aussie cars.

With an aussie car the motors are most likely in the front of the door under the 1/4 window.

Good luck with that!
Most small cars use a rail and pulley system.
They tend to be quite wide, and the tracks are usually curved.
Larger cars and older ones use a scissor action series of levers.
I think the motor from one of them combines with the minis regulator could be possible,
but mini doors really are tiny inside if you've not had a look.

A 65 traveller should have sliding window doors.

There are electric window kits available that the Motor fits inside the car in the shape of an arm rest and takes the place of the winder handle. Try http://www.communityguide.com.au/commun ... ws-sydney/ They can custom fit electric windows to anything. I buy kits from them.
