Hey first post, sorry if its been asked before

is there any common leyland parts that fit onto a morris like the doors or motor parts other than pulleys, flywheel, timing gears?

i got a bunch of stuff off an old mini enthusiast like doors a 998 complete motor a gear box and parts flywheels etc

wondering if i could put em on me car be it for weight reduction or better efficiantly

I doubt you'll save much weight if any and it wont be any more efficient but the engine should bolt straight in the doors you may have an issue with depending on what your mini is.....what is your mini? if you really want to know post some pics up of the doors etc.

The door striker mechanism is very different (as you can see) but the B pillar panel is different too . It can be done but will need a lot of surgery with sections cut out of a donor mini .

well out of the assorted parts i put together a
lighter fly wheel & the flywheel plate with the keyway
the lightend pressure plate
race clutch
a pressed steel crank pully
and a lighter timing gear in it to
i want to reduce the engines rotational inertia as much as i can like the parts with more holes drilled in them weight etc.

i also have 45 webbers to go on it

thanks sports 850 i was afraid of that

The pressed steel crank pulley is a good way to save weight.
If you use one of them you can usually throw the crank away.

If you want to save weight why are you fitting 45 webbers to it? Surely one weber is enough?
(and you can save extra weight by leaving out the surplus B)

Building the engine with lighter components can be a good idea so long as their still strong enough for the job. It should make your engine rev easier so you'll reach max bhp quicker but you will loose torque
Like sport 850 said the doors wont fit but all the glass and winding mechanisms are interchangeable, locks and handles are not.

I thought an engine with 4 Webers was impressive!, Would be an interesting manifold, 22 webers off each runner with a "split" one thrown in for good measure!

Best way to reduce rotational inertia is to lighten the flywheel. You can also lighten the rods a fair bit. GR did the machining on mine and did a great job.

I wouldn't switch the harmonic balancer for a lighter pulley, you will probably end up breaking the crank. I broke 2 cranks in my 1100 Mini many years ago before I discovered it had the wrong pulley.

ok so puting the harmonic ballencer back on is advised

but has anyone swaped the master clylnders from a morris to leyland ones

because i thought instead of having a brake booster id just rig up both exits to a T piece and run that to the front/rear T piece
as shown

Check the harmonic balancer is not deteriorating in the rubber between the two halves (inner and outer) any cracks and it will need refurbishing

If you like the clubman style door handles, then look at some of a 80 series landcruiser. They fit into clubman doors with a bit taken out of each end. Leave the original door locks in, it will confuse any one trying to steal the car. 2 door locks!!!!!!
You could cut a new hole and fit them to the deluxe doors. Get the ignition switch as well then there is no problems in getting keys cut.
The landcruiser inner handles also fit into clubman doors

Ummm, please don't do this. You do not have a clue, you are going to hurt yourself or somebody else.
You are trying to fit a dual circuit master cylinder to a single circuit. Why on earth would you want to do that?
