Maniflow LCB extractors into either a 1 3/4" or 2" pipe to a "hot dog" 1 3/4 or 2" exit.......sounds quite good i think and works very well! stainless is nice but it depends on your budget.

The chinese copies of the maniflow are very nice as well if you want to save a few dollars.

Are they the same `quality'- ie. are the flanges bent like on all the Maniflow ones? :P A pity they never have made them flat after the welding distorts them.:x

I've run two sets now and vouch that they are great value. The ends are cast steel and nicely welded onto the pipe. No sealing issues at all, and MASSIVE ports as well. They are three piece and come with the steel clamps around each and every join. Center pipe is a larger gauge than the two side pipes. They keep a nice finish over time as well. Approx 220 - 245 depending where you go.

The only down side I have noticed is that the massive center flange needs to be ground down a little on the top to clear twin SU cross pipes. It would be no problem on just about any other manifold. Saying that, it only took two minutes with a grinder before fitting the manifold onto the engine. Maniflows look to have the same problem as well.

My mileage isn't as high as some, so anyone who's had any cracking or other issues with these pipes please speak up before I send someone down the tube :) My view is that they seem very good for the money. They make a nice noise with 1 /34" and a side exit RC40. Ask Davo111 :)

Any of the usual mini culprits sell them. I think they call them simply Maniflow copies.

this is what I put on Kermy. It was a stocky, but dad made this exhaust for me years ago. It starts out as standard mini exhaust manifold, gets gradually thicker thill its bout 2 inches, then just into a huge muffler at the back with twin pipes. Sits under nicely, is quite loud and resonating as you accelarate but when cruising, no noise! perfect for the highway. Cost me a slab of bundys for my dads time and all his "bitsa's" in the shed.

last year i bought a exhaust system for my hot 1100

1100 020 ported head deshrounded
kent 276 cam

exhaust system was maniflow lcb extractors 2" WITH RC40

put it on my 998 a+ and had low backpressure problems resaulting in acceleration lag

i changed it yesterday, left the same extractors but changed the pipe to a straight through 1.3/4" with hot dog and unknown muffler. sounds 10x better heaps louder and has no lag and tones more power. the rite system really does make a diffference.

ahhh.... what size engine are you running? What carby(s), head and cam?

If it's only a standardish small bore (848, 998, maybe even 1098) then some of these suggestions may not be the best for your car because they may not have enough back pressure. A LCB with an 1.5 or 1.25 inch pipe may give more power and sound just as good on a small engine.

On a mostly standard smallbore, 3 in to 1 extractors and 1.5" pipe would be best, but i'd recomend going LCB's and 1.75" as i'm sure the modification wont be limited to the exhaust?? Correct?

I think from your photos the rust is more important than the exhaust system at the moment, unless their before photos., the other point is be careful how the exhaust system is mounted, dont throw away the original system use it as a template for the bends, try to follow the original bends and mounts, if its mounted to low you could have it ripped out, mounted to close to the floor and you could have a fire ,I,m not joking ! . Now I am speaking like your going to make it , but you need as much information as possible before you go and hand over a wad of cash and say make this.
