hey gang!

getting the mini tuned, but the needle is wrong.

its a 998 with extractors 1 1/2 " su unsure of internal work, but seems lumpier than standard at idle.

at teh moment it has an AAC needle in it hich has a flat spot about half throttle. and generally runs poor.

what are other peoples opinions/ experiences, what do you think i should use, and where can i find one!

cheers jamie

I would have the tuner modify the needle to suit. I just had Greig at mini classic do this and the car is running beutifully. Who do you have tuning your car?

flat spots at 2k rpm are often caused by empty dashpots - check that first

dashpot has fluid in it.(sewing machine fluid, was having the same problem with ATF)
with the ADF needle the flat spot isnt noticeable.
