And also...... I am another person here who is guilty of spending MUCH time and money on Toyotas.... here's what i learnt...
There were many different versions of the 4A-GZE supercharged motor, the earliest version had 135hp in standard form, the latest version had 180hp in standard form. Parts from the later version wont fit on the early motors due to internal redesigning.
Here are a few interesting upgrade, using an early supercharged motor (4A-GZE), and then a naturally aspirated motor (4A-GE) as examples.

Stock (145 hp @ 8 psi)
Stage 1: (151 hp @ 8.5 psi)

Stage 2: (161 hp @ 8.75 psi)
+Power Flow Air Filter
+Twin Power Ignition
Stage 3: (180 hp @ 10 psi)
+Oversize Crank Pulley
Stage 4: (188 hp @ 10 psi)
+Camshafts & Cam Gears
Other upgrades:
-HKS Twincharge kit (A turbo and a supercharger on one motor) - 250 to 300 hp is to be expected.
