Aaron,
Should have a sign at top of your drive

"Please use a low gear"

I handed over the keys and waved bye bye to mine today.
It's off to a new owner in Newcastle who seems pleased with his new acquisition.

This afternoon I worked on my girlfriend's Mini, I replaced the left side engine mount under the radiator, fixed a rattle in the heater controls, replaced the tracks for the roll down window in the right hand door, put a better looking badge on the hood. I washed it and gave it a good vacuum too.

added a moke sump guard for rock bash protection, and modified the clubman budge bar ends to bolt onto the sump guard, so instead of one or the other i have both.

Not that the nudge bar will protect from roo's  i just like the look of it on the front of the car.

But geez moke sumpies give you WAY LESS clearance under the front end of the car.

Just beware now that it's on , they can get you stuck ... If you have a couple of deep ruts going across the road and you get over the first but not the second you can't go backwards over the first as the rear of the sumpguard digs in ....

i have to take it off to do a couple of welds on the nudge bar.

Also make doing an oil change a pain too, so im going to do that before i put it back on again.

I did have thoughts about what youve pointed out, and was thinking about rolling the rear up it upwards and locking it to the rear of the subframe.

might have to get some hilos and jack em up full tilt to compensate for the loss of clearance.

define what you mean by Certified, but yes. A Triumph motorcycle is now the only non-french vehicle contaminating the driveway/garage!
