Early GT's had Mark 2 S blocks, the later ones had 1100S style block minus the two extra head studs.
And a small journel crank like the cooper S blocks. Someone mentioned the SS earlier, they only made 500 of those. They made 400 1275LS's (apparently) and its not clear about the Aussie clubman gt, some sources indicate around 1200 others 1500 so it's a little hard to say.
Of the above I have 2 gt's, 1 SS and a 1275LS so thats my portion of the total production
The funny thing is that even tho they made more gt's than SS's, sunshines, or LS's, the GT's are worth the most? I know that the 1275LS's kinda have the "poor mans gt" stereo type sometimes but they're a totally different car, the last harar for the aussie mini.
The SS is in my opinion one of the nicest styled of the original cars, and its modest 998 is cool. It's the only 998 I have so it's kinda special to me.
What they are worth? Well, I guess what some one will pay.
998LS about $5,000 in show room nick they made a fare few of these
SS about $6,000 to $8,500 (a fake one sold on ebay for $8,500 just recently)
1275LS $5,500 to $8,500 depending on condition and based on ebay prices from the last 6 months
Clubman GT depending on condition (I'm mean complete cars not sh!tty shells) based on recent prices over the last months $10,000 to $23,000, there was one advertised in SA for $29,000 don't know how the guy went selling it tho...
Thats my 2c
