Changed the top engine steady bar bushes on both sides, there was getting to be too much rock'n'roll up there on liftoff and acceleration and I was finding myself feathering the clutch at these times to prevent the engine moving around too much.

Now it's lots better, but it'll get even better still when I fit a gearbox steady bar in the next day or two 8)

Took the 175 main jets out of the 45 Dellorto and fitted 170s instead. It can now pull from 1500rpm (partial throttle opening), notwithstanding the 38mm chokes, RE282 cam and 1.5:1 rockers. 8)

Fitted a LHS lower gearbox steady bar and took it for a test spin. Improves the drivetrain shunt quite a lot, it feels a lot more like a remote box now 8)

There's still --> <-- this much improvement to be had, so I might fit the RHS one tomorrow ;)

I washed the Asparagas Job bugs of the vans windscreen and took it for a fang around town. 8)

Fitted the RHS lower gearbox steady last night.. drivetrain shunt is a thing of the past 8)

This one didn't go straight on however, it appears the lower primary case on UK motors are a little different to Oz ones, I needed a nut under the bracket on one stud to space it out a little.

I might take the evening off tonight and do nothing to it for a change

Yesterday bought some 5/32" x 1" screws - last night cut them down to 1/2" and fitted the petrol tank sender unit to the tank with them

Building one engine for the blue car, and refitting the front subframe and doing a head gasket to the red one.

Will the two cars be ready with two days prep between them? Find out tomorrow!

Had paint removed in three separate places, and chewed up a brand new windscreen rubber and locking strip.

Oh, and while that was going on, a windscreen was fitted.

Pulled out the dash on the Rover...
Pulled out a set of 8.4's from the old shell...
Put on an old drum set to be able to keep moving the old shell around...
Changed the plugs on the Rover...
Now trying to work out how to remove the top dash pad from the Rover without removing windscreen...?

Ordered some 0.6mm MIG wire and tips and a spot weld shield ( or rather a new general one as I'll butcher the old one to be a spot weld shield  )
