thankyou very much
whats bore and stroke on a stocker? 998 and 1100
and whats standard volume of chambers?
also, how far below the top of the block is the piston at TDC and thickness of head gasket at full head bolts torque
does stroke mean distance from TDC to BDC or distance from top of block to top of piston at BDC.
because without these figures i wouldnt be able to tell
and yes.. i know its best to rip the thing down and measure before going for it.. but id just like to know up front
cheers
Andrew
<edit> oh.. and with those pics.. you didnt really answer if the valves were actually recessed at all.. or are they in their OE location with the chanber cutting
cheers
Andrew
Bore of both is 64.58mm
Stroke is 76.2mm (998) 83.72mm (1098)
998 head chamber is 24.5cc, 1098 is 26.1.
Piston to deck height varies with pistons,
but work on 0.75mm.
Head gasket 0.75mm (guess- go measure an old one)
Stroke is distance the piston moves.
The big valves in my pics are on std centres- chamber has been cut to clear- just follow the gasket line.
