I'm aware of who the CTP providers are for NSW

My comment regarding those two companies were about the standards of their motor cover (not CTP), as told to me by people [previously] insured by them, and was as an aside to what I said about people chasing the cheapest price regardless of the product.
Why is it ok to talk about other companies and the quality of their products, and not insurance companies?
It certainly did not appear to be a comment about two different types of insurance cover.
No one said you can't discuss it. Just be clear in what you say, and always base what you say on facts, this forum can be sued by the comany or individual that feel as though it/they were slandered against by a forum member. please see the rules for the forum here noting point #4
http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24057There are many reasons/ways for different insurance companies to arrive at a premium as I'm sure you're very aware.
And as general advice to everyone, when shopping for insurance for whatever cover you're looking for, be it CompulsoryThird Party (CTP OR GREENSLIP), Third Party Property Only (TPPO), Third Party Fire & Theft (TPPFT) or Comprehensive, please read the PDS's readily available for each insurer or call them and ask if they will cover your specific need. This will ensure you get the cover you
need, not just the cheapest price.

I checked out this web site after my phone call to Shannons, cheapest was GIO, so i rang GIO to get the green slip, answered all the persons questions excactly the same as i did on the MAA web site to be told my green slip would be $200 odd dollars more than qouted javascript:emoticon('') on the MAA web site, when i questioned the difference i was told that it was a problem with the MAA web site that GIO know about but have no control over.
Did you compare the MAA webiste against GIO's webiste?
