I honestly dont know about the stamp numbers but its not hard to strip it and fit the correct bridge to float chamber so you have the right angles.

I believe that HS6s were also on Austin 1800s and the subsequent variants but i am not sure if they had inclined manifolds or not.

Thanks guys thats more like it I put up a post last week on a similar topic and it didn't fly . I am running a minisport water heated manifold the hs6 is from a 1500 with a TD needle , which I will have to change, I have changed the angle of the float bowl to the correct one , and I intend to run a K&N filter cone type with a sub stack ,which I will pick up in the U.S. when I go there in a couple of weeks , and I did take note of radiusing the carby inlet . Engine is 1293 , stock head @ rockers 10.3-1 comp, waggott997 cooper cam, modified dizzy, what is the suggestion as far as needles are concerned , OA6 seems a popolar choice . Oh and it has maniflow extractors if that makes any difference

My choice of RF needle was based on a PDF chart on original parts which stated a KW fixed needle was the original one for a HS6 and using the online chart the RF looked a better profile for a combination of good mid range/ top end and still with reasonable economy , I,m still not sure if an RF is fixed or floating, I would prefer fixed. If you want the PDF PM me .

RE: correct angle of the float bowl. I just modified the key with a dremal. Then set it up on the manifold and used a high quiality arreldite (sp?) to glue in place.

PS. Both of mine were from Morris 1500s for the ease of throttle hook up.
