I spray 2K all day long at work, but have never even attempted to spray it at home.
I have joked about it before on here, (my mistake, and I was rightly put in my place, as it is something not to be taken lightly!!), but the truth be told, per year, I would be lucky to spray a litre of acrylic at home.
Apart from the obvious, that the wife doesnt like it, for some reason it just doesnt feel right to spray it.
I cannot use the full airconditioned, motorbike racing quick tearoff deluxe models that I would love to use with my spray painting, as it just wouldnt work, as I will attempt to show in a couple of pictures.
The white rear wall has to be painted while balancing awkwardly on a ladder perched between the wall and turntable.(very tricky and hard to do!)
Everything underneath has to be sprayed as well! The picture was taken from above, but to paint underneath is very messy, time consuming, and has to be done from a layboard. (once again, very tricky, and hard to do!)
The vortex created while spraying from underneath is crazy!
What I'm trying to get at here in these pictures is that a tearaway visor would last 2 seconds spraying the jobs that I do, and would cause a humpty dumpty for me while perched up 3 meters on the top of a ladder blasting away with a pressure pot!
Just to add a note, I do some painting where I can wear the best gear, and am currently trying to acquire it!
Smearing the face with vasoline, barrier cream, etc, etc, does help, but not the solution. The sooner they can completley ban 2K the better in my opinion!
Better than you'd get from most crash repairers.
It's the boobs and testosterone that make this place fun-ner
