Interested in getting a little more out of my stock 1275 without really taking it apart just yet...

Will going down this track help?

Currently a 1 1/2" SU (stndrd inlet manifold) 2" exhaust lukey muffler (extractors ..not sure which kind)

Was thinking a 1 3/4" SU & larger inlet mnifold. Also a better set of extrctors and
1 1/2" exhaust (hotdog running to muffler)

Which extractors should i track down?

any suggestions?

The carb is the first thing to change. 1 3/4" is the way to go

your current extractors are probably fine, the jury is out on whether 1275's like 2" or 1 3/4" better

1.75" SU on a good manifold with 1.75" exhaust. Will be great on a stock 1275 right through to the hottest road engine.

Fiji you will need to decide if you want a HS6 with manual choke or a later HIF model with autochoke.

with a 1275 I would have three choices. HS6 HIff44 (auto Choke not needed) or Dellorto 45. All need to be Tuned and adjusted.
One thing I will ensure is to get the Carb to manifold to Head ports "Matched"
Exhaust I would keep as a number of people on here have good HP with a 2"

Funny u mention that I have a 42mm delorto / manifold sitting on my bench.fuel economy springs to mind when I think of using it

Properly jetted (a little leaner for road use), the economy isn't too bad.
I run a 45 Dellorto with 38mm chokes in it (but I'm fitting 36s in for the 1412).

Looks likeI might have a sit down think about his a bit today and find out what chokes are in it at the moment.
