No worries jill! The larger bottles do have markers on them, but i found that the bottle i have only has 50ml increments, useless for a mini and you have to pour it in, not squirt. refilling the smaller bottles is just more convenient!
CPOCSM, $1.26? thats f'ing ridiculous! i hope that's for premium, not for regular ULP!
When i was at uni in ballarat, i always went to shell. it was invariably 1 or 2 cents cheaper than BP, and BP didn't have LRP (which is a piece of crap anyway, stay away from it!). then i went to optimax and performance and economy significantly improved!!! Then i decided to give BP Ultimate a go (the advertising got to me!) and found it improved both economy and performance further, so i stayed on that.
I did hear a rumour (

) that optimax and ultimate come from the same source, but ultimate does seem to run better...i suppose it just comes down to individual preference.
LRP contains additives that make it burn in a different way. these additives are bad for your engine. i read it in street machine magazine a little while ago. i cant remember all the ins and outs of the artcle, but basically STAY AWAY FROM LRP! sure, premium unleaded is more expensive by the itre and on top of that you ahve to pay for the flash lube, but it does last longer, balancing out it's higher cost, and even if it does wind up being dearer, surely a healthier engine justifies spending the extra dollars???
