There are 2 or 3 different calipers:
Original Lockheed, fitted to Cooper S and GT
AP recent ones (maybe are same as Lockheed, I'm not 100% certain)
Unmarked recent ones

And there are 3 different 3.5x10 wheels:
original thin centre (1961), rivetted
thicker centre, rivetted
thicker centre, spot welded.

Some combinations just clear and some don't.

the brakes are the Original Lockheed, fitted to Cooper S and GT ones and I suspect with your rims they only just clear?

S brakes fit under S wheels.

Other people have different opinions but none of my standard wheels will turn when fitted over S brakes..

Cheers, Ian

They also fit fine under Clubby S wheels (which are 4.5Jx10, same offset & rim dimensions as Cooper S wheels).
