Exhaust wrapping......pointless or not???

Just had engine bay resprayed and wondering if it is a waste of time (and money) to wrap the LCB's???

Any advice???

Don't do it.

I did it on my Rover and had to replace the LCB's after 18 months due to cracking (twice!).

I've never done it myself, but from everything i've seen is that it does reduce under bonnet temps, the trade off seems to be shortened life of the extractors themselves.

Ceramic Coat them Craig, will look hot (pun intended) and keep temps down :)

No that expensive either maybe around $300?

I would only wrap ceramic coated extractors otherwise they won't last very long.
