have a 45dcoe weber on my 1275 & can`t see anywhere to run the vaccum advance to. there are no vaccum ports on the manifold.

was thinking i might have to drill & tap the manifold unless anyone has another idea.

Forget the vacuum advance with a Weber.
You won't get enough decent negative pressure for it to work.

Vacuum advance is a fuel economy device. A weber isn't. 8)

Show me a performance engine that uses vac advance..
Alfa twincam? Nope-
Fiat/Lancia twincam? Nope-
Cooper S? Nope-

If you have a decent duration cam in your A series, vac advance will do SFA anyway, even with an SU carb. So saith the cam grinder man with the engine dyno.

Vac advance will significantly improve your fuel consumption - which is what its there for. If you're happy paying 30% more for fuel each week (the effect it had on my commute) then don't fit one.

Webers can be easily set up to return 30 mpg on an S which is not too shabby.

Cheers, Ian
