I'm about to go and grab a couple of front brake hoses from Parts and Panels here in Mayfield. Old mate is telling me he's got mandrel bent LCBs that are big bore. Is this overkill? Will they fit my car?

Purchased. OD is 1 7/8 with advice that I can flare the 1 3/4 pipe at the end. Should I have it welded together>

I'd not weld it, but flare the main pipe out if you want. But they will work just fine with the 1-3/4 pipe shoved inside and clamped.
My 1310 was fine to 8000 rpm like that. 8)

LCBs fitted. Back from a dynotune. 61 ponies and sounds as a Cooper S should. Very, very happy!

Well done. That's a couple more in the corral, here's his last one, with the Perry freeflow and RC40-
The bottom trace is A/F ratio, it was a bit rich down low.
