I'm also still collecting parts.

Anyone got an A+ rod change box with all the bits to connect it to an 1100s engine??

Hi All,

This is the dyno sheet from Specialty Components 7 port (on a proper engine dyno not converted drive on)

This is a CNC machined billet alloy head.
People we asking for dyno figures on some of these 7 ports.

Hi Grahame. You're looking well!

Aren't you getting close to the same power from your 5 port big bores?

Hi Giddyup
I'm getting a lot more torque and HP than that from the 5 port motors.

Some pics of the Pierce X Flow in a round nose. Gbox sitting in car with block on ntop and then head. Not assembled but gives you an idea of how it fits. Be better in a roundy with twin webers as the Dellorto brass screw cap on top just hits the bonnet when shut. Could squeeze some small filters on with out modifying the bonnet. The head shown is actually going in a clubby, but just thought I'd see if it fits!

What have other people done with thier 7 porters? Mine is ready to go on. Machine shop had to sink the valves 60thou to get the valve spring height and pressure correct with AEG 526 dbl vlv springs and 1.5 roller rockers. Not ideal but a compromise to be able to use a quality spring.

Carbs are linked , Ill put a throttle wheel on the left hand carb and a bracket coming off a somewhere!
Head will go on the Van not the S. Can always get another one if we see some results.
All I want for Christmas is my S to run!

100ft/lbs (barely and not for very long) is rather disapointing...

Those figures mean nothing to the owners of the heads that we have bought. We have different cylinder heads to the billet Specialty Components 7 port shown in GRs dyno sheet.
Can't wait for dyno results on our el cheapo 7 port heads.
on another matter......
I wonder what has the most potential for all out boom 5 or 7 port?
In standard or near standard tune what would be more drivable, 5 or 7 port? &
In standard or near standard tune what would give more get up and go?

With respect this is just something to talk about.

PS. thanks for the photos.

As you would all surely know we really can't compare Dyno results taken in the UK with dyno results here in Oz. There is only one way to use dyno results that would mean anything to anyone;
Same dyno,
Same engine (just change the heads, same comp ratio) as Vizard would to prove worth,
Same day,
Same weather,

Apples with apples

Cool video of an Austin America (1100) with 1380 and Pierce 7 Port X Flow.

Yah not really sure of the value of the comparison up top. Compare an 'as cast' 7 port to a 5 port that's been prepared by a guy with 4.7 bajillion hours experience doing just that

Sounds like there will be a few of these around, so will good to see what they can do once people have a bit of experience preparing them.

Going by the pics, I can't see one fitting in a roundie though - can you get a side on shot showing the clearance?
