Stuck some sound deadening up against the internal firewall and behind the dash. Still got to the inside of the bonnet but the difference is huge. Much nicer to drive without so much engine noise or heat. However this has made me notice a squeak in the front suspension. Might be one of the knuckle joints.. Oh well, something else to replace. :)

Pulled a disc hub that's going on the Moke to bits yesterday, will lap some new ball joints in today. Realised I used CV's and bearings on another car.

Not today, but this week, I:
Monday - Started the car and found there was a charging problem. Thought it was the alternator, so pulled it out.
Tuesday - Looked at the car.
Wednesday - Cleaned the engine bay.
Thursday - Picked the alternator up, only to find out that it was ok. I eventually traced the problem to a dodgy wire. Then I put the car back together, jacked it up and checked over all the suspension and steering. Greased my nipples. Washed the car.
Friday - Drove the car down the coast.
Saturday - Drove the car around the hills behind Berry and Kangaroo Valley.

I went into Clark Rubber and bought some of their foil backed insulation called Formshield. It's 10mm thick (but can be up to 25mm) and weighs next to nothing, but it does the job. Cost was $39.00 per metre. 2m is more than enough to do the firewall and front floor pan or the underside of the Bonnet. I'm just doing the firewall and under the bonnet but will probably end up getting another couple of metres of it to do the rest of the floor pan and boot floor.. I'll get a couple of photos if you want..

I know it's not Dynamat, and not as good, but it's also alot cheaper :)

Cut up some scrap to make the front of the rolling jig for the minis, ready for welding tomorrow. The rear will happen next weekend.
Popped out the competition arches from their molds.
I'll take them to work on monday for dressing up, and a sexy paint job................. well primer anyway! :D

Found the 850 still hiding in the back yard so loaded it up and took it into the house in town and parked it under cover in the carport ready for the spiders to move back in. :) Pumped up the tyres on the "Leyland" mini rust bucket ready to move out to pasture on the daughters block. Found another house in town to move to with a shed big enough for Project clubby to fit in and work on. :D Contemplated doing some body work but decide i couldn't see with the sweat dripping in my eyes, so came back inside to worship the air-con. :D

I did finish putting woodgrain dash and rewired the aircon switch for it.
