I personally like Green motor's (and there's a debate there, which one's right?)
But for a red, it's nice.

Most 'straight' colours are nice I recon as long as it it done in a 'detailed' way ie, not fully assembled and then run over with a spray can. A few small different colours, like gearbox, transfer housing, rocker cover, thermostat housing etc set it off.

Have you found green motors to be quicker?

I like black ones; they are no faster, but you can't see them coming! :P

Black is great on a road/race motor, you don't notice the oil leaks

Thanks GR, its really great to see dyno results for a supercharged A series. I run the same model supercharger on my 1330 mini. Suprised to see the lack of boost in the lower rpm. My mini pulls smooth and sweet (hard  ) right from idle, even with the tall diff and big wheels (13x7''). By 2000rpm ive reached 80% of full boost. When i asked Hans (with an "s" :) ) why there was such an apparent difference to my engine he immediatly said "compression, cam and exhaust." He went into detail that i wont go into here. He was rather horrified to see the Supercharger running without any form of airfilter also. Regarding the s/c running out of puff- Hans showed me the airflow of this model, it has 185hp potential. He said the BMW s/c is a good quality unit but is still based on the cheaper, less efficient , Eaton "roots' style.

Micowen, what's a good clear to use? The stuff I've been getting of late ain't what it used to be.

I'm sure I can get my hands on some 2K heat resistant clear!
Maybe some of the special clear that I'm gonna be using on my deluxe could work, I'll pop a few questions and see how we could get around its difficult adhesion problem!
Leave it with me boss! :D

the supercharger kit is set up by Link auto in Melbourne, they'll advise you on those parts.
