I had a quick squirt in this beast last night, man it's got potential!

Probably needs more advance early in the curve, some cooler plugs (it gassed up on me at a junction).

Super, I sent you a PM about choke sizes, what are they?

Dr or anyone, what do you think for a 1360 with 2 x 40 Dellorto's ?

It's sure got some grunt!   :P

I'm also interested in carb settings for my pair of DHLA 40s

Doc Martin (the ebay supplier of the heads from the states) gave the base settings for 40mm DCOEs as:

Sorry should have also asked, what jets and air correctors are in there now?

Wild guess would like something like 125 or 130's mains?

Ok spent Arvo sorting a few things. Fixed rear ex bracket and noticed lcb to pipe u bolt was lose. Now fixed.
Changed coils, previous one had a dodgy post.
Spaced ht leads with proper spacers.
Very happy now the 90.4 hp works from idle right through!
Jetting - mains 158, pump jets 40.
This head has been ported , polished and flow benched.
Can't wait to get a decent ex and see what happens! A brownrigg would be nice if they were available.
Cheers!

DHLA 40 Carb settings on my car are as follows:

32mm choke
Idle jet - 40
Main - 158
Emulsion - No 10
Air correcter - ? can't read the numbers.
Pump Jet - 35

Can someone convert that to a weber equivelant?

Are these heads - stage 3 package, ready to bolt on or do they require a lot of mucking/modifying to work. Has anyone got one running porperly yet? Am interested in buying one but would like to know if there worth it? How'd you go with yours TK?

Jet sizes would be near the same. On both carbs they are expressed in mm diameter (eg a 158 main is 1.58mm).
Emulsion tubes Dello/Weber I dunno, as they don't cross correlate. It's a matter of finding what works. Your 10s are probably the Alfa ones (fine with twins, don't work on a single Dello on a Mini- they need a 5, 6 or 7)

My project is on hold at the moment with a rebuild of Slidey's gearbox, slack 2nd gear syncro.
Soon though you'll probably get the results of a out of the box bolt on to a stockish 1275.
These things are great value for money. Especially with the Oz dollar being so good.

So has anyone got one of these running in brisbane yet? Ty, Dave? My old man is on the verge of buying one and wouldn't mind some input.

Have you read this thread? I have had mine running for quite some time now.

However I am in NSW, not Brisbane like you asked!
