hey i forgot to ask.. i got my hi lows installed for me so i dont know the spanner sive that i need to adjust them... :( does anyone know? thanks

a big shifter does the trick ;)

I put the rear Konis and HiLos in today but ride height hasnt altered at all and the Hilos are wound right in. Are we supposed to trim a bit off the extension bars to get "lower" than standard ride height? As it is, I can only go up from standard unless I cut a piece out of the extension bars.

Im thinking 12mm? The inside of the bar is machined to take the knuckle only as far as about 50mm and the shaft of the knuckle is about 25mm.....?? Anyone else cut their extension bars?

but

but

I lined the new Hilo (at lowest setting) with extension bar up against the original trumpet (on the ground) and they were the same length.

I took a pic so will post that and a pic of how high its sitting right now. Whats to settle? Its the original cones (seemed fine) and I'm pretty sure its all seated correctly in their own little places...

aaaaw you guys don't believe me  No-one has ever trimmed the extension bars....? OR what length is a normal extension bar? I'll measure mine later tonight.

You don't need to touch the length of the bar..it's all in the Hi Lo...I would say the Knuckle is not seated in the cup all the way in..it will settle down

Not wound in  you should be able to wind it in till both the bolts are sitting together.
Does not look like a Hi Lo eather...did it say Hi low on it any where..
Did you replace the Knuckels

that was WOUND IN as far as the thread goes!
It wont wind IN any further!
I suppose I could get the thread extended so both the nuts sit together, but thats only going to give me another 10mmish, which will probably be ?? 50mm lowering?

I'm going to have to CUT them
The HiLo part seems perfect, yes they have plenty of adjustment but its all UP until I cut the bars shorter.

Don't worry bout it

*where's my hacksaw?

Mrcooms, the rear extension bar is only the rod out of the wet suspension, mini clinic on gibson ave should have them... Or any other mini place might have them as well..
Cheers
Daniel

K got my HiLo's today. But far out right after i bought them some guy walks in and starts giving me a serve, ohh what u putting HiLo's on for, ur stupid, keep it original, dont lower it.

I mean comon.
1. its not like im dumping in on the ground full ricer style
2. its not like i cant put the trumpets back in.

Well now the task of putting them in, the biggerst thing im worried about is taking the tank out.

I don't see why you would have to take the tank out on a sedan either...
everything you need to play with as far as I know is outside the car in the rear subframes :? :?:
