According the the transport company web site where you can track and trace your parcel, it's not yet been received by the addressee - I've emailed the freight company to find out where it is.

Better not be sitting at their depot in Lara :x

More to follow.

At least now you know the job will be done right mate!!
Yell out if you need a hand at any stage.

Speaking of letdowns....

The plasterer said he'd be round Tuesday morn to check out the studio ceiling job and never fronted!!!!!
Jarrod and I plastered the roof of the studio ourselves yesterday. Job's now done, job's done right and we saved a fortune to boot. :D

You want a job done, you do it yourself :) (AND save yourself a heap of moolah)

Cheers for the offer Quickie - I'll take you up on the offer when it's all about to be put back together - if I may.

Still unsure if I should get a new double row timing chain after all, the existing one's not done too much work has it. Are you able to lay your hands on that spare one you have Rod so I can compare the two?

Cheers

One of the jobs I intend to do with the block that's at the engineers at the moment is to change over the oil filter to a spin on type. It's an easy job to do isn't it?? My only thought is joining the feed pipe to the block near the sensor - I don't know thread sizes and so on but surely it's possible. I read about it somewhere and I think the only hassle is having to bend the feed pipe a little bit.

Block connection is 5/8-18 UNF.
The standard pipe will fit with a little persuasion, or why not use some Pirtek MPH-08 hose (500psi) and barb fittings-

Well.......here we are......back to this thread........FINALLY ready to rebuild my engine and get Ribena back on the road.

Question.......new pistons didn't come with new cir-clips. Should they have?

circlips are often stuck inside a plastic bag , stickytaped to the inside of the box that the pistons came in... maybe?

;-)

... or else the bag is just shoved inside one of the pistons... so the engine reconditioning shop can lose them on the floor.. yeah it happens, often!

If you haven't sorted a spin on filter yet, Ive been gearing up to make some filter mounts that fit a Z9 and mount to the standard mounting points and oil pathways.
The benefit is the Z9 has the check valve in the filter, is cheaper (as its used on just about every falcon) and most importantly to me at least there are much higher quality performance ones available if you so desire.

Edit: Got my valves mixed up
