Broke some pipe going into the inlet manifold, Attempted to change the exhaust and extractors but failed.
Attached new gasket, Lost some bolts in the process then proceeded to tighten it up.

Tested the exhaust and its leaking quite a bit.

So looks like i have to remove the gasket, Fit a new one and put some gasket maker on it.

I hate fuel injected mini's. I want a carb mini :/

Not exactly my Mini but made a start on an order for 5 voltage regulators built into the original cans. First was an improved prototype, second perfected the prototype started the third and thought if I drill a 1mm hole..... now where the bleeding fine drill bits....after an hour looking gave up and will leave it till tomoroow when I can get to Tandy

Add a cutoff to the battery terminal. Took the kids around the block in it.
Hopefully no more flat batteries when I do the once a month run.

Cheers.

.............and we did! :D :D :D

For the first time since somewhere in 1999-2000, i finally heard my car start!!! Was winding over really strong, then finally started. Have a fuel feed issue, but only cause we haven't really looked that far into it yet  ! Hubby and CO. , spent 2 days replacing my front brakes and sorting wiring (this was the point where my 'independant woman building a car thing', took a step aside  ! but i did still learn alot  ) and hoping to get the rear brakes all done in the next couple of weeks.

:D :D So am pretty chuffed at the moment! :D :D

Tandy do still exist; there's one just down from my work. They're pretty well tied up with Dick Smith's now.

But if you're after bits to actually make stuff, Jaycar are far better. Dick's isn't what it used to be in that regard.

Was going to take the fuel tank out of the moke to sort out an in-tank pump but saw a big patch of green and a little patch of brown under the engine bay and decided that she isn't going to the muster if she can't stop weeing on the floor. Put the cover over her and walked away. Water pump is another thing to replace when the engine comes out for the new clutch and rear main seal.

Made the easy engine lifting bracket from the how-to section - looks the part. But since I don't have a welder, I just drilled a hole and used a shackle for the lifting loop.

Then proceded to bash at the pin that attaches the gearchange rod to the gearbox. I'm still working on that one...
