 Post subject: What clutch to get?

I'm building a twincam 1360 which should make around 100+ atw. The car is a daily drive but always gets driven hard. What sort of clutch should I look at getting that will be able to handle the power and abuse but not be to hard on my foot in stop start traffic?

I have an orange dot in my supercharged engine which seems OK
Bit heavier than the standard cooper s type but not too bad in light traffic

I second the orange dot. I have one in the 1412 which has 112ft/lb torque. And another in the 1360.
Set them up so the diaphragm spring is flat when assembled.

you should find the orange to be fine for what you want

the verto system is too heavy in my books

& even if you were turbo charging, i`d just use one of our "Re-pivoted" systems

All right so where do I go to get these? is it just as simple as asking the local auto parts store for a mini orange dot clutch or what?

Any mini parts supplier should be able to help or ring Karcraft in Sydney and they can ship one out.
I doubt that Repco or Auto One would keep these in stock? They may have a standard clutch kit.

Karcraft keeps the AP orange dot (rally) diaphragm in stock and also the AP comp (bonded & rivetted) clutch plate, you won't find them cheaper out here.
They also keep the AP grey dot (race) diaphragm but IMO not needed for a road car.

I also run orange dot + AP sintered clutch plate on my 1430
They don't come apart like some of the Cooper S (blue dot) plates.

IMHO grey dot is for race only cars.
