I wonder if she really was Ginger?

I think the Skipper would have been chasing Mrs Howell.

ATB Differential for Classic Mini
Early 14K ATB differential

What is the main difference between these two Quafie LSD's?
From what I read the Early one needs some sort of mods to the crown wheel and maybe some other bits and pieces...is this correct?

your link is dodgy

reading about the 14K, it sounds like it uses a non-standard type crownwheel. My mate has one like that

the other one is what you want, dropped straight in to my remote 'box

I can see that, I can also see that it's a success message after adding a product to a shopping basket. But since I don't have a shopping basket, and as such there aren't any items in it, it's kinda useless

the link works when I click it but anyway;
this should be a link to the latest model LSD
http://www.swiftune.com/Product/381/atb ... -mini.aspx
and this should be the 14K early LSD
http://www.swiftune.com/Product/1104/ea ... ntial.aspx

the site remembers your IP address and stores what you've put in your cart, the link you put up was intended for your IP address and when the server noticed yours and simons didn't match it wouldn't display the page correctly.. just giving some form of broken link message or the like.

If anyone is interested in prices they are selling them for 550 pound or around $840 to $900 depending on current exchange rates.

MED also sell them for the same price incase you didn't realise. Just another option if you are looking at buying some other bits. I have purchased parts from both MED and Swiftune and found them to be very good in regards to service and prompt delivery.

The "early" ones use LSD CrownWheels - which have a much bigger diameter hole in centre of the crownwheel. And yes - require LSD output shafts, circlips etc ($$)
Diff housing may require some machining
eg http://www.swiftune.com/Product/639/swiftune-crown-wheel-and-pinion-47.aspx
* and not all LSD Crownwheels fit (eg MiniSpares are a slightly different diameter by a few mm - Jack Knight ones do fit OK. It would probably be possible and easier to machine a few mill from the Quaiffe rather than the Crownwheel - but I just got a different crownwheel. )

The newer style just uses a standard crownwheel and "Pot joint" outputs.
eg http://www.swiftune.com/Product/418/swiftune-crown-wheel-and-pinion-45.aspx

Functionally I believe they are otherwise identical....
