Door cards back on (one of them) the other being finished.

The MDF on the door card has been modified to allow the clamp to move.
Bascially, the MDF has been cut out, but the vinyl is still there... you cant tell from looking at it, but if you press the exact spot you can feel that there is no MDF behind it.

Pete.

Just a slight delay since you've last posted, but how have you run the wires from the body to the doors? What does it look like in the door jam when the door is open?

Thanks Pristic. I just installed as per your instructions. From start to finish it took less than 1.5 hours. Works great.

Central locking in a round nose is do-able.
Very fiddly, but do-able.

Now, central locking, single piece glass and electric windows, that's a task! 8)

Done that with normal glass setup - not with single glass though... remote locking, hit the button and windows go up too ;)

Resurrecting this thread.... I'm about to do panel work on my doors and was looking for aftermarket locks (solex), but unfortunately they don't do specific ones for Leyland. Then thought I'd get universal locks and make modifications to the door as required. I really don't want to use the OEM locks - they are bloody terrible!

So, Instead of all that maybe I should just go with a keyless entry system. No alarm. Can anyone suggest some good, reliable, name brand keyless systems? And should I have no locks and patch the hole in the door while I'm doing the panel work? Or is it advisable to still have a (new) barrel in case??
