to be honest i know it will "chomp" the bolt so i didnt try too hard with the multigrips, and the pair i do have are smallish at $25 a pop its better value to just buy new studs

also one less thing persuading people not to buy the old engine and subframe im stealing them from.. :p

I prefer bolts. They don't get bent when you drop the subby down a bit to replace the rack.
Mini King would have some if you want to go that way.

so studs/bolts are interchangeable ? i can buy some bolts instead of fitting studs ?

Yes, you should be able to use these ones on a dry subby. Hydro ones are different so they say there (see link), but my hydro bolts looked same as these ones.
