Hi guys, I've been trying to fit some retractable seat belts in to the front of my mini but the ones that i bought don't seem to line up with anything. Now the description when i bought them said they will bolt straight in to the existing holes with ease but no they won't. Mini front inertia real, retractable seatbelt.
I bought these ones here,

http://www.minisport.com.au/prod775.htm

Has any one fitted these befor and is there a trick to it that im not getting?
Please help me haha

Regards

Standard Klippan setup - most minis have those these days.
Whats the issue? the pivot goes at the top the inertia reel goes into the doorbin (clubby) or under the door (roundy) and the other end goes under the door too.

Do you mean the bolts don't thread into the threaded holes in the body, or you just cant work out how it should fit together.

Well if i put them below the door, it hits the door pocket when i close the door, plus the seat belt clip would be on the wrong side, If i do it the way the clubbys are and put the reel in the bin and the other end under the door i get the same problem. Does any one have any pics of how they have done it ?

Should look like this at the bottom on a roundy. Note the bracket tilts forward to clear the door.

Bolting it in isn't a problem. It's just nothing works together

May need to shorten the bracket under the door and put another hole in it - but its normally done without. The above is how most minis are.
Reel goes into the bin where it should be in a clubby.
My pics are useless to you - got rid of the door bin instead!

Thanks for the pics, so it should be tilted forward to clear the door bin?

Yes. Thats the angle it gets pulled when it is worn anyway.

Once it is all in another thing you may notice that happens is that when the door gets closed it may cause the belt to lock because the door pocket gives the belt a little tug meaning you have to wiggle it up a little to unlock it. I found after 6 months or so it happens less as the return spring gets a little weaker.
