G'day,

Found that at normal pressure (28 psi) the Falken 165s stick out 17mm from the rim, while the Bridgestones only stick out 4mm!

Could anyone with Mambas 10 x 6 (mine are original ones) who have A008s on please measure and let me know, as thinking of getting a set and don't want them sticking out like the Falkens......

Thanks in advance.....

Do you mean the sidewall to the lip of the rim? I have the new style mambas with 165/70 A008's. At 26 psi the sidewall sticks out 2mm.

Yep,

Sidewall to lip of rim. Thanks for that. Appreciate your help. I had heard that the 008s are not super wide and this confirms it.

Hope this info also helps others!

Oh....

The new Mamba 6s are listed as ET (offset) -7. I will try and measure my originals offset tomorrow and post it up.

Thanks guys.

I don't think the offset would affect it much, more the design of the lip and bead seating?

maybe i'm measuring the wrong thing, is this how everyone else is doing it?

Hi JimL,

Duh....been a busy 2 months at work and my brain hurts!!!

You are right....offset means SFA.....

The method you show is the method I am using so will be a valid comparison. Was checking offsets as wanted to reduce any tyre sticking out from flares, and so I could see the difference in different wheels as well as different tyre overhangs.

Thanks again.
