Good to hear Rick , you sound like an expectant father waiting for the arrival   .

Good short clip as well , seems a bit weird watching an Aussie car with Qld Rego plates driving down the wrong side of the road   .

Well ROO certainly gathered a fair bit of attention on the run up the Fraser Valley. I have never seen another quite like it - Aussie Mini Window Van with funky Sun Visor - on local roads. The only other BL Australia Mini Window Van (a '76 Bold as Brass ala ROO) that I know of on this side of the Big Pond is 140 miles to the south in Seattle, Washington, USA.

I brought the Seattle owner, Mark H., new wing mirror rubbers when I came home in 2011 after the One Lap and dropped them off on the way to Arizona in 2012. Hopefully we will have these Australian mates on the grass together at the Vancouver All British Field Meet in May.

As for driving on the right. It was surprisingly easy in the Mini, though it might be more difficult in a larger vehicle.

Here are Mark & I at the 2010 Vancouver ABFM with his Mini Window Van (I had bought ROO just 2 months before this):

I won't be converting to LHD in the near future. After I drive across Canada to Ontario, south to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Road course at Lexington, Ohio and back via Mini Meet in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in June/July, I may have a different opinion.

ROO ran right into a Provincial (would be State in OZ) requirement for side marker lights & reflectors as all 70s Minis imported into Canada.

Hmmm...went looking for LED lights that might fit in the City Flairs. Found the lights and the installation is looking good. Reflectors are at the 4 corners close to the bumper line.

Did it require all four corners to have the lights/reflectors?

My ex-USA MR2 has the same setup. Plus the Export spec Mokes that never left our shores.

I think it was a USA/Canada thing from 1968.

And...I had to replace the left dipping headlights with North American right dipping (used Halogen sealed beams)...but boxing up the LUCAS headlights.

ROO is home after Safety Certificate (passed with flying colours), CVSE compliance (sealed beam Halogen headlights, LED side markers, stick on reflectors), Registration with Province of British Columbia (licence, insurance)...then the drive home in sunshine!

Looking in our parts bin...have HD adjustable lower arms (camber), adjustable rear brackets (toe/camber), have rear adjustable hi-los (fronts installed in North Rocks), don't have HD adjustable tie-rods (caster) and new rubber doughnuts/cones would be a treat - the old cones up front have taken a beating.

Mini got new universal joints at Mini Automotive before going to the dock in Brisbane.
