I have thought about doing it that way too Norm I just worry about the finish, if you could take some pics that would be great. So many different style and ways to set up.

found this website too, a basic dash but comes with full fitting kit as well http://www.custom-consoles.co.uk/shop/c ... k/p41.html.

i have a custom dash template from mini forum but its too use with custom dials

which looks like this, i only wanted it as a rough size guide, i found the template was about 30mm too short .once i cut it all out & mounted it on cardboard for a test fit

Thanks Wallie good options for customisation too.

Next question.... They keep coming. Did any of the three piece dashes come out vinyl wrapped?
a guy at work gave me one today, I was thinking it was someones home made job though?

i peeled a corner of the vinyl back I don't think it is a traditional one.
It looks like it's made of plywood the gloveboxes and center piece are laminated timber.

It would probably be the BMC Australia accessory varnished wood dash that someone has stuck vinyl over, they had numbers on them so that the wood pattern matches on each piece.
