 Post subject: Cleaning calipers

I've removers mine off the front end whilst replacing hoses etc. I just want to give them a small clean up . Can I soak them as is in some hot soapy water or do I risk getting water past seals etc.

as long as hose holes a blocked, soaking them is fine. Try scrubbing with jiff or similar.

Don't use degreaser to clean them. If you need a solvent, use metho.

Yeh holes are all blocked I'm keeping them out in case back of caliper won't be seen.
