Quick question , Would a set of door rubbers from a 64 850 fit on a 68 deluxe ?
Some one offered me a new spare set from his 850 but I'm not sure if they will fit my deluxe doors ?

Cheers Jarrad

The door rubbers for the 64 850, if they were intended for the original sliding window doors are thicker than the later type. You will need to look at the cross section to determine which door they are for.

That is the correct type. Note that they will be unnaturally tight at first, but will settle in over time.

why do I have so many pieces of pinchweld that I've taken out of cars with windup windows? I have door rubbers in my S from rarespares that are held on with the pinchweld that was on it when I got it...

Years ago (when I didn't know better) I bought 850 door rubbers in from Minisport UK, and tried to use them on my windup doors. There was about a 1/8" gap, the 850 ones were smaller than the Oz Deluxe etc ones.
I fitted local Deluxe etc door ones and they sealed fine.

XD Falcon rubber fits windup doors, can buy off the roll at Grippy Rubber, Clark Rubber, etc.
Measure first, they are longer than you think...

I was crawling through CLark Rubber only a few days ago, they're a few dollars more than buying them of the roll locally from a mini supplier, but they have a number of different cross sections of different sizes there.
