Does anyone recognise the part number AYA4020 Mowog brake drum.
It measures 180mm across so it appears to be the same as the std 21A22 drum.

AYA4020 is an Australian part number and is listed in some Australian Mini parts books.
21A22 is a UK number.

This probably means they were getting brake drums made locally.

Thanks, That's what I needed to know. All good - I will put it back on.

As mentioned above, it's the Australian produced version of the standard Mini (i.e. non-Cooper S) brake drum. First released into production in May 1963, so they must've used the UK part until then. You may find the casting date code on there too.
