Yes that's exactly it. What does the sides look like? They look squared at the bottom

yes they are Squared at the bottom.
this is how it started out before I modified it to fit better http://minisport.com.au/mini-full-boot- ... tank-minis

I will be making another one in the Christmas break and happy to make a cardboard template if you can wait that long.

Making templates is easy as
Cut a bit of stiff cardboard or what rough shape but too small, then position it where you want with small gaps all the way around next use a large coin or similar and run it around where you want it to go at the same time mark your template where the inside edge of the coin is. you have now marked out your template only 25mm or whatever size your coin was too small now you can mark up a new template from the line you have drawn on your old one plus 25mm cut it out and with a little fettling bob's your uncle

Where are you located? I have my templates still from when I did my liner. Though I customised it to suit the way I wanted to put it together.

I'm running short on time at the moment but I may be able to trace them onto paper eventually.

I started with this template, but only used the cured part. I found it was too big so used a 3 mm piece of Ply curved around the tank and traced the profile. I also made it taller so it sat on the floor. And trimmed it around the spare wheel

http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/to ... oot-board/

Then I got the other side right as it was a bit funky aswell.

Then I squared it up and made the back piece to suit my size. Then I did the Base board and front(rear) apron that I curved to match the boot.

It's all out of the car at the moment due to a water leak. But once I get back into it I'll try get some templates of the side boards.

Sorry if this is cryptic!
