Spaceboy, was that you on Saturday arvo around 1.30pm heading south on South Road in a lime green clubby?? Chick in passenger seat...

If it wasnt, you have a twin who drives a green clubby. Definately looked like you, but you have a red clubby.....

Yep, it's a cable operated clutch.... there should be some adjustment nuts (on the threaded cable end) around the clutch arm above the gearbox.

You might find that your new clutch has bedded in and is now not reaching the flywheel. In this case, you would need to make the outer casing shorter by winding the nuts further up the cable (and therefore allowing the pressure plate to move closer to the flywheel.)

The idea is to have a very slight amount of slack in the cable when your foot is off the pedal. This will remove pressure from your thrust bearing and put all the pressure on the friction plate - if it still slips, the clutch itself is stuffed. Too much slack in the cable, and your clutch will not disengage properly, making gear changing impossible without a bit of grinding.

PS... supercharged engine - 1800rpm, drop the clutch, then ROCKET away without wheelspin
