not only did I have to read the cams manuals as a scrutineer for all those years, Cams issued the car a log book to race with it in this configuration and it was raced without being logged in NSW, Vic ,QLD and SA, as stated in my previous posts it could not run in the Supermini series because of the gearbox rule but it had no problem as a sports sedan
A scrutineer, that explains why you can't read a rule book.
Tappets was logged a few times with that car, I was at Amaroo when it was logged once. A chief scrutineer had it in for the car.
CAMS used to issue log books to any car. You did not even have to have a car to have a log book! I know of a few cars that had multiple books so that if it was logged in one book they would just use another book.

And I know who the scrutineer was, it was Lance and it had nothing to do with the way the car was built, he just hated mini's and one of his favourite things was to write up every mini for the flares or anything he thought he could get away with cause we srutineers know how you car builders and owners read the rule book
Hey you at least had to have a picture of a car to get a log book

there are still a few cars out there running on there 8 or 9 body after an accident running on an old log book

shhhssssssssssssssssss no one would be doing that now would they
It was not the first mid engined FWD there was the mini with a 179 holden engine, went like the clappers in a straight line but refused to go round corners
