The tubular front subframe from z-cars (Figure 1.1) is designed to eliminate bump steer. It is 10kg lighter than the original Mini front subframe and includes mounting points for the radiator and aluminum fuel tank (Figure 1.2). Included are inboard aluminum rose jointed adjustable shock absorbers which are operated by pushrod lever from the wishbones. Double wishbones again rose jointed and adjustable for caster and camber by means of left and right hand thread rose joints and connectors. The whole kit is powder coated and nickel plated on the metal parts. Also the kit fits the original mounting points at the top for the subframe and down near the driver and passengers feet. Instead of the original 2 bolt fixing, the subframe has a 10 bolt fixing adding to the stiffness of the subframe. It has an integral pedal adaptor (Figure 1.3) for the accelerator to enable the mounting of a straight throttle cable under the car from front to back and then pulling on the original cable through the bulkhead using he original Mini pedal. Under the radiator at the front is room for a dry cell battery to be fitted.
Zcars also make a front subframe for a series engines in the front that look pretty much the same and are good cause of the stiffness plus coilovers and eliminated bump steer.
All of this info i got from zcars.org.uk
